Nacho Cheese Hamburger Dip

This is called a "dip", but honestly, we eat it as a meal when I make it.  It's so yummy and heats up well too. You can make it more spicy or mild based on what type of salsa you choose.

1 lb. extra lean ground beef
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
Salt and Pepper to taste
16 oz. block Mexican Velveeta
16 oz block Velveeta
24 oz jar of Pace Salsa or Picante Sauce

Your preferred dipping tortilla chips

In a medium saucepan, brown ground beef with onion, salt, and pepper.  (If you use extra lean ground beef there will be no grease to drain.)  Turn to medium heat.  Pour salsa into pot and stir together with the ground beef. Cut Velveeta into chunks and add a few at a time, stirring as you go.  As cheese melts, continue until both blocks are melted.  Simmer together over low heat for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent the bottom from burning.  Serve with your favorite tortilla chips and ENJOY!
