This is a basic taco seasoning that can be found in a variety of places online. Some have different amounts of some of the spices. This particular recipe is the one we prefer. Many of the tacos seasonings you buy at the store are very salty and overpowering. My family really likes this recipe, and it's so easy to make and keep in an 8oz. mason jar in the pantry.
Ingredients
4 Tbsp. Chili Powder
3 Tbsp. Ground Cumin
1 Tbsp. Paprika
1 Tbsp. Crushed Red Pepper
1 Tbsp. Salt
1/2 Tbsp. Garlic Powder
1/2 Tbsp. Onion Powder
1/2 Tbsp. Dried Oregano
1/2 Tbsp. Black Pepper
Add all ingredients to an 8oz mason jar, cover tightly, shake well, and store in the pantry.
I use 1 Tbsp. for 1 pound of ground beef for taco meat.
I add 3 Tbsp. for chili or taco soup.
